This Privacy Policy explains how A1 Events SRL ("we", "us", "A1 Events") collects, uses, and shares information through the A1 RaceNav mobile application (the "App"). A1 RaceNav provides real-time GPS tracking and emergency SOS for participants in endurance racing events.
A1 RaceNav is intended for registered participants of races organised or serviced by A1 Events and its partner organisers. You typically join an event using an invite code provided by the organiser.
We only collect what is needed to run the service:

We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your personal data.
A1 RaceNav collects location in the background so that, during a race, your position remains visible to race control and SOS works even when the App is not open. Background collection runs only while you enable tracking and stops when you disable it or the event ends. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the App's safety features will not function without it.
During the event, the organizer and the organizer's designated staff (race control and the safety, sweep, and medical personnel acting on the organizer's behalf) can see your live position on the event map.
We share information only with:
Your GPS tracks, check-in records, and race data are retained indefinitely as part of the event archive — we use them for post-incident review, race-safety analysis, and historical records of the endurance events we organise. You can request deletion of your personal track data at any time under your GDPR right of erasure (see "Deleting your data" below). Diagnostic data is retained for a limited period by our diagnostics provider.
A1 RaceNav does not use personal accounts — you join an event with a registration code provided by your organiser. To have your participation data and device records removed, contact your event organiser or email us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
A1 RaceNav is not directed to children. If a participant is a minor, a parent or guardian should consent to location collection.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and standard safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated in-app.
